ROUND 1
In Round 1, applicants will need to go to https://admissions.jgu.edu.in/ and fill out the following:
Application Form
Go to https://admissions.jgu.edu.in/ to begin your application. Please have scanned copies of your X Board Scores, XII Scores (if applicable), and your Passport Sized Photograph ready. The photograph should be a front-facing profile picture (2 x 2) with a neutral background. If acceptable, this photograph may be used to create your University ID.
Personal Statement (At least 300 Words)
All applicants need to submit a personal statement. This is a short reflective piece where you get a chance to tell us a bit more about yourself and what you think the Admissions and Faculty teams need to know about you. While there is no preferred format, the personal statement should give the reader a good sense of your personality and who you are. It should not be specific to a programme.
If you apply for multiple programmes, your personal statement will transfer to your new application. There is no need to submit a second personal statement.
Supplemental Questions
For each individual programme, applicants will be asked to answer at least three additional questions. This is a chance for you to describe your interest in the programme you are applying to in more detail. Some programmes may give you the opportunity to provide websites, blogs, and portfolios as part of your application.
If you apply for multiple programmes, you have a different set of supplemental questions for each programme.
X Board and / or XII Board Scores
Applicants are asked to upload their X
Board Scores (or equivalent). Please note that we look at an applicant’s scores in totality and consider the broader patterns. One bad score will not be held against you.
If you are completing your XII Board or equivalent, then you will receive a Provisional Offer of Admissions until you submit them to us. Once they are received, you will receive your Final Offer of Admissions
ROUND 2
Selected applicants will advance to Round 2. In this round, applicants will need to do the following:
Faculty Interview (In Person or Remotely) *
This is the most important part of the application process. Applicants who get to this round will have an interview with a member of the faculty for their respective schools. There is no set format for these interviews, but it is a chance for the faculty to ask the applicant questions and the applicant to find out more about a programme from someone directly. Emphasis in these interviews is placed on oral communication, confidence, curiosity, clarity of expression, and nuanced thinking.
Some applicants may be asked to complete a second interview**. This does not mean that the applicant is a weak applicant. Sometimes faculty request an additional opinion or want the applicant to speak to faculty member aligned to the applicant’s interests.
* Some programmes require Delhi / NCR applicants to come for an on-campus interview. Please see your respective programmes for more information.
** The second interview will be held in the following Admissions Cycle.
Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test (JSAT)
If you have not taken or plan on taking the SAT, ACT, LSAT-India Examination, then you will be required to complete the JSAT Examination. Please go to the JSAT Page for more information.
ROUND 3
Applicants who get through Round 2 will be given a Provisional Offer of Admission pending their XII Board Results and any additional information required by a school.
Successful applicants will have seven (7) days (including weekends) to accept or decline the offer. If an applicant declines the offer or does not respond before the end of the seven days, their application is declared inactive.
Successful applicants are required to pay the Refundable Registration Fee to secure their seat.
Once the XII Boards Results are confirmed, applicants will be given their Final Offer of Admissions.
Congratulations and Welcome to the JGU Family!
Waitlisted Applicants
Applicants may also be waitlisted depending on their results. Waitlisted applicants are requested to upload their XII results as soon as they are released. Such applicants may also be asked to do an additional interview. Waitlists will only be examined after 1 June 2019.
Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent
