The structure of TISSNET

TISSNET is a computer based, national level examination consisting of 100 questions with time duration of 100 minutes (1 hour 40 minutes). The questions are objective type and are related to General Awareness; Mathematics & Logical Reasoning, and English Proficiency.

There is no negative marking in TISSNET 2020 for any programme including HRM. Even if candidates have applied for multiple programmes they have to appear in a single examination (Same question paper for all).

There is no demarcation of any section in this paper. All 100 questions appear together as a continuous stream. The General Awareness section will carry 40 marks, English Proficiency 30 marks, Maths and Logical Reasoning will also carry 30 marks.

IMPORTANT NOTE:-There has been a change in the Selection Process in for students seeking admission for courses offered at Mumbai campus.

TISS Management Aptitude Test (TISS-MAT)

Candidates interested in studying courses MA (HRM & LR) or MA (ODCL) offered at the Mumbai Campus will have to appear for an additional entrance test called TISS Management Aptitude Test (TISS-MAT).

  • This test (TISS-MAT) will be for 45 marks, and it will be for a total of 30 minutes.
  • Marking Scheme- 1 mark for every correct answer marked and 0.25 marks will be deducted for an incorrect answer option.
  • There is no sectional cut-off mentioned for this entrance.

Exam Pattern of TISS- MAT

Who can appear for TISSNET?

There is no age limit in TISSNET. For admission to M.A. programmes at TISS, a bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a recognized university is required. Final year students can also appear in the exam.
